On the 12th March of 1930, Gandhi began its movement from the Sabarmati to Dandi with his selective followers and across 385 km. So, in order to agitate against this Mahatma Gandhi had chosen the place ‘Dandhi’ of Gujarat, and Gandhi adopted the policy of passive political resistance movement to violate the salt law. The civil Disobedience Movement was started by Mahatma Gandhi in order to violate the unjust law formed by the British government and to decrease the tax on salt.
